Gary Gygax - RIP - 1938 to 2008

Gary Gygax, coinventor of Dungeons and Dragons, passed away this week. He was 69 years old. Years ago he coinvented DnD in the early 1970s and formed TSR, Inc. In the 1990s TSR sold out to Wizards of the Coast (maker of MTGO).

A brilliant and very creative mind - the grandfather of roleplaying games. Gygax and Tolkien allowed our imaginations to soar as we grew up years ago.

GG you will be missed.

Regards,
TW

The world of make believe took a serious hit this week. My favorite quote regarding Mr. Gygax came from his obituary in the New York Times. When talking to a group of children about whethere they liked tv or radio more, only one answered radio. When asked why the child picked radio, the young one replied "Because the pictures are so much better."
You will be missed.
